Since its completion in 1952, the Guangdong Guesthouse ( Guangdong yingbinguan ) has been host to numerous foreign guests. The hotel has received heads-of-state from over 60 countries and many Chinese leaders including Chairman Mao and Deng Xiao Ping.

Guangdong Guesthouse is located on Jiefang Bei Lu, just opposite the Temple of Six Banyan Trees . It is 7 km from the airport, 3 km from the railway station and only 1 km from the China Export Commodities Fair. The Hotel is set amongst pretty gardens and traditional Chinese pavilions and terraces, a rare sight in Guangzhou!
